At Sable Tulip Armouries it is my goal to outfit reenactors with gear that is reasonably authentic looking, functional, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I do quite a bit of research before roughing out an idea to insure, to some extent, that I will be able to recreate an item that is going to be functionally sound and at least look period, even if it is not made with exactly what would have been used.
