Welcome, yet again, all good gentles of the Knowne Worlde....

.....here you will find photos taken at various events throughout the fair Kingdom of Meridies....I will try to include captions with these photos.

"GATALOP 16"

October 28th, 29th, and 30th 1999>

The above photo is an overview of the Gatalop site taken from one of the battlements.

"THE BATTLE FOR THE HILL".

These photos are of the hill battle at Gatalop, this was fun.....I authorized for heavy combat at Gatalop, and this was my first "official" skirmish....I only slipped once trying to scale those sandy heights, and I managed to stay alive!

"THE BRIDGE BATTLE"

(or...."Rupert takes 'em all")

Here we have combatants from Meridies and surrounding Kingdoms getting ready for the Bridge Battle....this promises to be an experience....we will be fighting to hold the entrance to fort, it is an enclosed passage.......as you will soon see.

And here we have a shield wall in action, do you see that huge white door with the big black cross on it ??? That would be Rupert....you will be seeing more of him .....

....I wasn't fibbing.....here he is again, all nice and tucked up under that flippin' huge door!.

This is a shot, taken during the bridge battle, of the entrance to the fort, all decked out with the trappings of the Barony of Osprey....Impressive!.

Ooops, I think Rupert might have gotten himself in a bit of trouble......nice Kaniggit, good Kanigit.....Is Rupert in trouble, what did he do, tune in same time next week for the WHOLE story.

"DOGBALL".

Unfortunately, this is the only photo I have of this....um....sporting event, and it isn't even a decent action shot....sorry.

"ME".

Yup...that's me, after a tiring afternoon of melee combat, this was taken from the top of a battlement.

Well...that's it for the shots at Gatalop....stay tuned for pictures from Fighter's Collegium, and the totally true "no shit, there I was" tale of how Rupert would not yield.

"FIGHTER'S COLLEGIUM"

November 12th, 13th, and 14th .

I don't know about anyone else, but I kind of enjoy court. Aengus seems to be a really upstanding fellow, and Gareth doesn't seem to be much different....but now, on to the really fun stuff......more fighting photos!.

"PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT"

"or ( no more ameoba )"

Here we see the fighters of Meridies paired off in teams practicing engagement tactics.

And here we have more practice.....

.....and even more practice...just look at those fine examples of shield walls....what form, what grace, makes me want to just.....give my war cry and run around from behind!

And now.....even more fighting....what's that ? Where's Rupert ?......he's in these some of these photo's, ya just gotta look......here, I'll make it easy.....

...how's that for easy ? Notice that he has a different door, sadly enough, Just a week before this event Rupert and his family lost everything in a house fire.

This isn't a great shot, but yes, that would be, at the time, His Royal Majesty, Aengus.

I would like to extend my thanks to Antonio de Navarre, who took the photos at Gatalop, and Fighter's Collegium.

"Hit List"

May 13th, 14th, and 15th .

"The War of the Roses".

Ah, it started out a frightfully hot day, here we have the Baron and Baroness of Osprey, together in the shade of their pavilion, overseeing the events of the list.

O'Mighty Sir Aengus and Charles Von Straustberg.

O' Mighty Sir Aengus and Jebe Naran.

Sir Camric plays marshal.

Lord James Guy Bothwell and Richard Na Taenga Mihn.

Thorgrim battles an unknown squire.

My first tournament battle versus Grimm Drakkarson. I lost, but I had a very good death....actually had the marshals concerned.

My second tournament battle versus El Guapo(sp) I won this bout, my first tournament kill.

Just after the killing blow was struck......he took my legs, I took his on my way down, and after a bit of an exchange, I hit him square in the brain-pan.

For what was to be my last battle, I again drew Grimm as my opponent.....I had made to the third round of the list and was pleased with my performance nonetheless.

Me, in my new tabard.
